T13B - BOXED LUNCH SESSION; Aspirations vs. Reality: Conflicts in Sustainable Construction - SOLD OUT!

Tuesday, September 9 from 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM | Room 307

This session is sold out!  Please consider boxed lunch session T13A.

Join us for a panel discussion on sustainability, moderated by Erik Missio, Editor of The Construction Specifier Magazine.  Four expert panelists will discuss several issues related to sustainability and design including key aspirational goals in the move to improve sustainability in buildings; concerns about the realistic pace of change in pursuing aspirational goals; the existence and use of rating systems and their impact on improvements and sustainable practices adoption; a growing focus on evaluation of actual building performance rather than pre-construction ratings; the use of chemicals of concern/red lists in improving sustainable outcomes; the obligations of the designer, contractor, and product manufacturer to owner and third parties; and the obligation of professionals to limit their practice to areas of training and expertise.

Boxed Lunch Panel Discussion is available to all who purchased a full education package.
