As an international attendee or exhibitor at CONSTRUCT, you must do several things in advance to prepare for your trip. Generally, international travelers need a visa to enter the U.S. Though some travelers from certain eligible countries may be able to visit the U.S. without a visa, through the Visa Waiver Program. The turnaround time for most visa applications is 30 days, but in some cases may take considerably longer. It is recommended to apply for your visa two to three months before your scheduled trip in order to avoid delays in processing. You may contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for current wait times. Appropriate documentation, such as a Letter of Invitation, can help demonstrate the purpose of your trip which is to attend and/or exhibit at CONSTRUCT, and that you intend to return home. Once you complete the online form for a Letter of Invitation, you can print out your personalized letter on your own color printer to decrease your wait time. Additionally, you can request that it be e-mailed or sent by standard mail. Additionally, you should bring this letter of invitation to your visa interview as a supporting document for the purpose of your trip. Unfortunately, CONSTRUCT and Hanley Wood have no influence over the issue of a visa, therefore are not able to contact U.S. Embassies or Consulates in support of or on behalf of an individual attempting to gain entry into the U.S. to attend CONSTRUCT. Specific questions should be directed toward your Embassy. Please allow three weeks for delivery of your Invitation Letter by standard mail.
