Early Birds Flock to Register
Dallas, Texas, March 17, 2010 CONSTRUCT2010, the 54th CSI Annual Convention and The Total Facility Management Show attendee registration is active. Attendees are reserving their places in education sessions, technical tours, CSI programs and the Welcome Reception. The event is designed to meet the diverse education, networking and informational needs of architects, designers, specifiers, engineers, facilities managers, building owners and professionals in the commercial building industry. “We are pleased with the response to the announcement that registration is open. Many attendees are taking advantage of the early bird discount.” says Jayne Dalton, Show Manager.
The Construction Specifications Institute, CSI, has planned a full agenda that includes the Annual Meeting, Region Caucuses, workshops, receptions, meetings plus educational events. The week culminates with the Honors and Awards Gala.
In addition to the full exhibit hall floor, the four-day education schedule, with over 75 sessions, offers relevant, interactive, expert-led instructive programs and on-floor "how-to" training sessions focusing on building & design, business, leadership, process, standards, stewardship and facility management. Most courses provide continuing education credits for CSI CEN, AIA/CES, and BOMA. The education schedule allows plenty of time to explore the exhibit floor with non-conflicting time to attend the sessions. On-show-floor education is provided free of charge to attendees in the Education Pavilion during Exhibit Hall hours. Programs specifically created for the Emerging Professional/Student are also available. The Student Competition entries will be displayed at the event and the winner will be announced, Thursday, May 13, at 1pm. The competition includes 60 university participants from across the U.S.
All attendees receive complimentary admission to the General Session which focuses on innovation with keynote speaker, Bjarke Ingels, award-winning architect and author. Ticketed special events include the Welcome Reception, the Honors and Awards Gala, a Spouse/Guest tour to Longwood Gardens and a social networking evening at Fairmount Water Works. Two accredited Technical Tours are available: an Exterior Envelope Renovation of Philadelphia City Hall and a 19th century architectural tour of the Academy of Music and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
Online Attendee registration is open at www.CONSTRUCTshow.com and www.TheTFMshow.com. For those registering before April 8, 2010, Exhibit Hall admission is free and education packages are discounted. Those registering as CSI Members receive the association discount.
